Gate Attendant Position

As a Gate Attendant, you will be the first point of contact for guests and visitors arriving at our resort. Your warm welcome and exceptional service will set the tone for their experience. This role is responsible for monitoring incoming traffic, ensuring only authorized vehicles gain access, and providing helpful information and directions. By maintaining a secure and welcoming entrance, you contribute to an atmosphere of hospitality and safety for all guests, members, and visitors.

This is an independent position, as you will be working on your own at the front gate. Communication with property staff and departments will be handled via radio, including announcing guest check-ins as they arrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor to create an inviting first impression.
• Provide clear directions and information about hotel amenities, facilities, and services.
• Monitor and manage incoming traffic, allowing entry only to authorized vehicles, including guests, members, and approved visitors.
• Adhere to established security protocols by verifying the identity and purpose of those entering the property.
• Address inquiries regarding parking, venue locations, and general hotel policies with attentiveness and care.
• Manage peak arrival times with composure, ensuring smooth and orderly vehicle access.
• Communicate effectively with security personnel and other departments via radio to uphold safety and service standards.
• Operate the gatehouse computer to verify reservation details, track arrivals, and provide accurate guest information.
• Remain alert for any unusual activity, promptly notifying the appropriate personnel of security concerns.
• Relay important information clearly to guests, visitors, and team members to enhance overall efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication skills and a welcoming, guest-service focused demeanor
• Ability to work independently and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable using two-way radio systems for professional communication
• Basic computer proficiency with the ability to look up and verify reservation details
• Strong attention to detail and awareness for safety/security practices
• Previous hospitality, security, or customer service experience preferred but not required
